It’s been 18 years since the birth of gift card happened and since then its sales growth is increasing amazingly. According to statistics, it became one of the most wanted gifts that women want in the US and was also ranked as the second-most given gift by consumers.
It has become one of the marketing strategies of several establishments especially during holidays or special occasions. It has been proven that it can indeed boost sales because these gift cards will not only serve as a coupon to avail items or discounts but can be utilized as an ad medium as well. Some issuing agencies would charge the giver the same price of what can the receiver avail in the card but there are others that charge less. Others are giving it a compliment card for purchasing a lot while some are just given to loyal clients.
Issuing agencies will just have to make sure that the design of their gift cards can’t be easily reproduced or they can place unique signs to make it authentic.
Surely if a person finds gift card sleeves in one of his or her birthday presents with a gift certificate in it, that person would be more than excited to claim it and the giver would be much appreciated.

I love to receive and give gift cards. It’s actually easier to give gift cards as presents because the recipient can choose his/her own gift relieving you of the worry of having to think of what exact gift to get him/her.
